Super Bowl XLV (45) will air on Fox on Sunday, February 6th at 6:30 ET. This year’s matchup is The Green Bay Bay Packers vs. The Pittsburg Steelers. The Black Eyed Peas will be performing on the half time show. There will be commercials and some football sooner or later. Anheuser-Busch, Audi, and Hyundai are some of this year’s advertisers.
Two great defenses from old school teams. Ben Roethlisberger may not have big numbers, but he makes plays. The sizzling hot Aaron Rodgers will have to find his receivers often and early. The Steelers will have their hands full. Donald Driver, Jordy Nelson, Greg Jennings, and James Jones are part of the best receiving core in the NFL. Don’t forget excellent tight end Donald Lee. Older, more experienced Pittsburg Steelers receivers Hines Ward, Antwaan Randle El and Mike Wallace will have to make plays, and the running back Rashard Mendenhall will have to pound the ball with control to win the game. If Aaron Rodgers can hook up with his receivers often this will stop the “is he worthy” talk.
One of the greatest quarterbacks of all time Dan Marino never won the Super Bowl. Although I’m not a large Miami Dolphins fan, winning seems to make you more credible. Losing, although not fun, is reality. I’m not a Steelers fan either. If you can shut down the Packers, I will have to face the fact that the Steelers are a winner eating at Subway. I still have a little while to dream. Dreaming gets old after awhile. Go Pack Go!
