Daytona 500 on Fox: February 20th, Noon ET

Daytona 500Dale Earnhardt Jr. won the pole, but has been put to the rear on the field after crashing on Wednesday and will race in a backup car. Although getting credit for winning the pole, he will have to drop back to the end of the field before the start of the race.

My favorites are Jeff Burton in the #31 Caterpiller Chevrolet Impala and Carl Edwards in the  #99 Aflac Ford Fusion. Five-time Champion Jimmy Johnson will be a strong candidate to do well on Sunday in the #48 Lowes Chevrolet Impala.

Winning the first 125 mile Gatorade duel was Kurt Busch. Winning the second race was Jeff Burton. The Daytona 500 is a major event from way back when. Before the modern technology, the Daytona 500 was one of the few races on TV years ago.
