It wasn’t Friday, but YouTube sensation Rebecca Black was out on the town attending the first ever MTV O Music Awards ceremony held at The Fremont Street Experience in Las Vegas, Nevada on Thursday night. Shaking off recent death threats, and a resulting police investigation by the Anaheim, California Police Department, Rebecca Black appeared ready to party in her silver sequined mini skirt, black lace top, and heels.
After the awards show, Black hit the Las Vegas Golden Nugget Hotel to host the MTV Music Awards Fan Army Party and present the Fan Army FTW award to Tokio Hotel. The Fan Army FTW is awarded to the recipient based on how much love and support their fans have shown.
While Black admits she has many haters, she says that she has an equal amount of fans who are even planning on organizing a Rebecca Black army of support. Black says that her many fans have been discussing what to name the fan base, but she doesn’t think an official name has been agreed upon yet.
In spite of all of the haters and death threats, Black continues making public appearances, recently making her red carpet debut at the movie premier of Disney’s ‘Prom’ in Hollywood last week.
Her popular YouTube video “Friday” continues to garner lots of attention, recently topping 125 million views. Showing just how well know the song is, a Melbourne, Australia audience instantly recognized the song and sang along when Katy Perry performed an acoustic interpretation of the song in concert last night.
