The latest release from Arctic Monkeys ‘Suck it and See’ starts out with “She’s Thunderstorms”. This is a good song, but the lead guitar is what really makes this one interesting. “Black Treacle” has some intriguing lead guitar and a drum beat that does not disappoint. This is another really strong cut. “Brick by Brick” This song jumps out at you right from the start. This is a good example of the catchy ability of Arctic Monkeys, with a quite impressive tempo change and burning lead.
“The Hellcat Spangled Shalala” has some pretty good Alternative Rock guitars, as do a number of the songs.”Don’t Sit Down ‘Cause I’ve Moved Your Chair” has more great drums and guitar. I like this, but went more bonkers over other songs here. “Library Pictures” is short, and yet quite deep, with some pretty stunning sounds. “All My Own Stunts” has more of those awesome guitars, and this is one of the best songs on the entire release. ”Reckless Serenade” is another strong song that shows why they are so compelling a listen.”Piledriver Waltz” is an unusual but very interesting song. The guitars have quite a bit to do with it, as they are sensational.
“Love is a Laserquest” has a mellow electric sound that flows very nicely. The beat works well on this cut. “Suck it and See” has a catchy Alternative Rock sound with Pop nuances. That is not bad here as this is another strong song. “That’s Where You’re Wrong” finishes with more excellent guitars and some nice drumming as well. I say this is a four plus release from Arctic Monkeys. The band hailing from England is: Alex Turner (lead vocals, lead/rhythm guitars, keyboards), Jamie Cook (lead/rhythm guitars, piano and backing vocals), Matt Helders (drums, percussion, backing vocals, and occasional lead vocals), Nick O’Malley (bass, backing vocals)
