Sublime With Rome

Sublime with Rome - PanicAlthough this week is kind of lackluster for blockbuster releases musically, I saw that Sublime with Rome was on the future releases. Scheduled to be released on July 12th, I hate to get excited and be disappointed later. The single “Panic” I just heard is eerie. Although not sounding exactly like Bradley, It is close enough to send chills down your spine on a 98 degree summer day.

I knew Bud and Eric were a stunning rhythm section, I thought it was long forgotten. Apparently just plain Sublime could not be used at all without Bradley in the group. Two years ago Eric called Bud and said he wanted him to meet this great singer and guitarist who blows. In his words ‘plays guitar like a mofo and he has a platinum voice.’

Being into them for a while, I have to admit that when it comes to ska there is no group that rivals them. The angle aura and magic are top of the heap. It could easily give any major Alternative Rock group on the charts a run for their money. You don’t ask why a certain group is stellar. They blow your mind, and put out music that sends you on a musical journey. This has that capability. The single “Panic” is a look into such a journey. We shall see. Cross your fingers. Being allowed to use the Sublime with Rome moniker may be a blessing. Let’s hope everybody can be happy.

Can’t wait for their new album. It reminds me a bit of slightly stoopid. I can’t wait to catch them on the seedless summer tour
