Red Hot Chili Peppers - I'm With YouHaving heard Red Hot Chili Peppers’ new song “The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie” for awhile, I was interested in hearing the whole release. “Monarchy of Roses” is a gritty song and shows the excellent range of song sounds this has.  ”Factory of Faith” starts out with a great bass and beat. This is pretty funky in my book. “Brendan’s Death Song” starts out acoustic and moves into a great mid-tempo song. “Ethiopia” has a funky bass and drum intro. The guitar gets things going in a hurry. This guitar really rocks. This is a really nice sound from Josh Klinghoffer, the new guitar player. Well done Josh! He plays keyboards as well. Michael “Flea” Balzary  plays bass, trumpet and piano. The lead singer is Anthony Kiedis and Chad Smith plays the drums.

On “Annie Want’s Baby” the bass intro shows what a large part Flea has in the sound of the band. “Look Around” gets the groove going right away. I like the bare bones sound . In regards to “Did I Let You Know” I will let you know one thing, this is funky drum playing here. “Goodbye Hooray” has a pretty groovin’ guitar sound. “Happiness Loves Company” is very piano orientated, and a nice change up. “Police Station” has a mellow guitar introduction and is a really nice mid-tempo song. “Even You Brutus” has a piano pop sound. Not too much repetition of song styles on here. A sign of a veteran group giving you variety.

I found ”Meet Me at the Corner”  laid back, but not boring at all. In fact, it is one of the best ones on here. Long time friend of the band Josh plays a nice guitar all the way through as a new member. Nice keys and pianos as well. They handled this adversity very well.  ”Dance Dance Dance” has the beat going on and a catchy and strong finish to a strong four and a quarter star release.
