Sirius XM Radio (NASDAQ:SIRI) has announced that it will be offering Satellite Radio listeners comprehensive coverage of the upcoming Daytona 500 and NASCAR Speedweeks. SiriusXM’s NASCAR Radio (Channel 90) will offer live broadcasts of the Daytona 500 and every other race, all season long, along with daily NASCAR talk and analysis live from Daytona International. Sirius XM is the Official Satellite Radio Partner of NASCAR.
On Daytona 500 race day, Sunday, February 26th, Sirius XM will begin broadcasting live at 7:00AM Eastern and will offer listeners 15 hours of live coverage straight from the speedway. Satellite Radio listeners will have access to all the action on the racetrack during the 54th running of The Great American Race, beginning at 12:00PM Eastern. In addition, Sirius XM’s live coverage will feature full pre-race and post-race coverage with expert analysis, including reports direct from the pit road and garages, driver introductions and interviews with the race winner and others.
Sirius XM Radio will also be airing additional “Driver2Crew Chatter” channels which will offer the live, in-car audio of NASCAR ‘s top drivers during the Daytona 500 race. Featured NASCAR drivers will include NASCAR Sprint Cup champion Tony Stewart, first time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Danica Patrick, five-time champion Jimmie Johnson, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and others. In addition, Sirius XM will also be offering a “Fan’s Choice” channel, which will feature the in-car audio of a driver as determined by fans who vote from a selection of competitors at www.siriusxm.com/nascar.

Sirius XM’s NASCAR Radio will also be offering live coverage of the Gatorade Duel, the 150-mile NASCAR Sprint Cup Series qualifying races, on Thursday, February 23rd at 1:00PM ET, the NextEra Energy Resources 250 Camping World Truck Series race on Friday, February 24th at 7:15PM ET, and the Drive4COPD 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series race on Saturday, February 25th at 1:00 pm ET.
In the days leading up to the race, SiriusXM’s NASCAR Radio will be providing NASCAR fans with comprehensive coverage live from Daytona, featuring the latest news and expert analysis, as well as call-in shows where NASCAR fans can share their thoughts. NASCAR Radio’s weekday talk lineup begins with The Morning Drive from 7:00 to 11:00AM ET, hosted by Mike Bagley and Pete Pistone, followed by Tradin’ Paint from 11:00AM to 3:00PM ET, hosted by Danny “Chocolate” Myers, Rick Benjamin and Hall of Famer Buddy Baker, and then Speedway from 3:00 to 7:00PM ET, hosted by Dave Moody and Angie Skinner.
In addition, Late Shift, hosted by Jim Noble and Buddy Baker, airs on Mondays and Tuesdays from 7:00 to 10:00PM ET, Mojo Nixon’s Manifold Destiny airs on Monday night’s from 10:00PM to 12:00AM ET, and Dialed In, hosted by Claire B. Lang, airs Wednesday through Friday from 7:00 to 10:00PM ET.
On race weekends, The Front Stretch, hosted by Pat Patterson, will air live from the infield Saturday and Sunday mornings beginning at 7:00AM ET. Claire B. Lang and Jim Noble will partner up for pre-race and post-race shows, offering NASCAR fans an extensive view of everything going on, on and off the track. On Saturday mornings, Noble will also partner with various NASCAR journalists to co-host Press Pass.
On Monday, February 27th, on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio’s The Morning Drive, hosts Mike Bagley and Pete Pistone will be conducting a live interview with the 2012 Daytona 500 Champion driver, crew chief and team owner.
During Daytona 500 Week, several SiriusXM NASCAR Radio shows will broadcast from the top of the Sprint FANDECK in the Daytona infield. Mojo Nixon and comedian Daryl Wright will also be at Daytona International Speedway interviewing NASCAR fans on SiriusXM’s Blue Collar Radio (Sirius and XM channel 97).
